Repairs parts the index of AVI files so that they may be played back.
If you're one with a lot of AVI files on your system with a collection of movies from various online sources, chances are high that you may have one or two corrupted files. With AVImedic, you can easily repair these files.
The application is small and somewhat lightweight as it remains in memory while in use. It's completely portable and does not require installation.
The main functionality of AVImedic is to repair broken AVI videos and is facilitated by a rather dated interface with this application. Regardless of age, AVImedic is still useable and able to repair files while sporting a defragger-like visualization.
To get started repairing files, just load a valid AVI video by clicking "Select" on the top-left hand corner of the interface. To start, click on analyze and AVImedic will check the file for errors. Once completed, you can use the program to repair and patch the file while also being able to create a backup in case something goes wrong.
The program is both useful and easy-to-use, despite its dated look but be reminded that large files are not supported.
